Another false news about the death of Philippine Cinema’s “Bad Boy” Robin Padilla surfaces online, exactly after a year since he first became a victim of “Internet Death Hoax” last August 2014.
The second Death Hoax of Robin Padilla is posted last August 3, 2015 and still making rounds in Social Media up to this date. In the fake report, it says that the “Bad Boy” was shot dead after fighting with carjackers.
Robin Padilla’s Fake death was posted by a blogger who tagged different facebook users to make it viral. He used a method called “clickbaiting” where he put a false headline of an article just to have attention and clicks to his own website.
Last year August 2014, Robin Padilla first became a victim of the “Internet Death Hoax” after Vic Sotto. Robin Padilla’s fake death is used for a facebook scam. The false headlines is uploaded on facebook with the following captions :
“HEADLINES GMA: ROBIN PADILA NAMAALAM NA.PANOORIN ANG TOTOONG PANGYAYARI. EXCLUSIVE. RIP!”
After clicking on the headlines, it will direct you to a site that is reported to have malware’s that can retrieve all your online information and passwords.
Of course the Bad Boy of the Philippine Cinema is still very much alive and happy with his wife Mariel Rodriguez. He recently signed a new endorsement under Northern Cement Corporation (NCC).
