Has GMA Network closed its doors to Asia’s Song Bird Regine Velasquez after moving to ABS-CBN in 2018?
During her Radyo Singko program Cristy Ferminute, showbiz news reporter Cristy Fermin read one question about Regine’s possible return to the Kapuso Network.
“Di ba’t naging issue nga yung paglipat nya ng Dos at sinabi nyang, at least I am now working with the number one station pangarap na daw nya yon. Edi tignan natin kung ano ang magiging desisyong ng syete tungkol kay Regine.”
However, an unnamed source came forward and messaged Cristy, confirming the worst.
“Isang ehekutibo ng GMA na ang nagsabi. Sarado, sarado na ang pinto.”
During a backstage interview with MJ Felipe in December 2020 for the network’s Christmas Special, Regine confirmed that she and her husband Ogie Alcasid have nowhere else to go.
“Oo. Hahaha! Saan ba kami pupunta? May pupuntahan ba kaming iba?”
As some may recall, Regine transferred to ABS-CBN in October 2018, following her husband’s transfer a few years earlier.
The Asia’s Song Bird has previously been with the Kapuso network for 20 years.
