Known as the gold standard of survival horror games with over 110 million units shipped worldwide, Resident Evil is continuing its 25th anniversary celebration with the upcoming premiere of the original CG anime series, RESIDENT EVIL: Infinite Darkness, launching exclusively on Netflix on July 8 this year.

Ahead of the launch of RESIDENT EVIL: Infinite Darkness, the first CG drama series in Resident Evil history, let’s take a closer look at two female cast members: fan-favorite Claire Redfield, who is expected to play a big part in the story after her long-awaited reunion with Leon S. Kennedy, and the mysterious U.S. federal agent Shen May, a brand-new character for this series!
Claire Redfield
In Resident Evil 2, Claire was just a college student when she encountered the zombies in Raccoon City. In this series, she appears as a member of Terra Save, a nongovernmental organization that aids victims of bio-terrorism and chemical attacks. Having escaped Raccoon City together with Leon, the two share a bond like comrades-in-arms. This close relationship is on display as they joke around together when they meet again after a long time.
In the Resident Evil series, Claire has played the role of a big sister whose kindness calms the other characters who are terrified by the crises they face. At the same time, she has a lively personality and has escaped many dangerous situations through her bold decisions. Deeply influenced by her older brother, who was a member of special forces, she is also a strong and skilled fighter who possesses various combat skills despite being a civilian.

A new look for Claire features her wearing a red tank top and red glasses in a room where she is investigating the Penamstan incident. Claire is seen staring at a computer screen with a grave expression. She will play a large role in uncovering the truth in this series.
Shen May
Shen May is a U.S. federal agent debuting in this series. She is a skilled computer scientist who is dispatched overseas along with Leon to uncover the cause of a hacking incident at the White House.
In this series, Shen May infiltrates a massive facility with Leon, demonstrating courage and high-level physical capabilities as an agent. However, her true nature remains shrouded in mystery. What is the goal of this federal agent who works alongside Leon and Jason?
The newly released stills show a scene that clearly demonstrates that she has what it takes to be an agent. In the darkness, she has a composed expression on her face and holds a gun with a practiced hand. This image is proof of her reliability and places her firmly among the characters of the Resident Evil series who have achieved incredible feats!
