On Quezon City Government’s facebook page, the generous acts of award-winning actor Arjo Atayde is posted with a caption: “Maraming salamat kay Arjo Atayde sa kaniyang donasyon na service vehicles para sa mga barangay ng District 1 sa lungsod.
“Ang mga sasakyang ito ay magagamit ng ating mga barangay upang makapaghatid serbisyo at aksyon agad sa kanilang paglilingkod sa bayan.”
Through his Aksyon Agad campaign, Atayde handed over 24 service vehicles for the use of different barangays in Quezon City’s first district.
Atayde and Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte led the turnover ceremony with Councilors TJ Calalay, Doray Delarmente, Ollie Belmonte, Mayen Juico, Bernard Herrera, Jun Ferrer, and Charm Ferrer are in attendance during the event.
The following barangays are the first batch to receive the service vehicles: NS Amoranto, Manresa, Paang Bundok, St. Peter, Sto. Cristo, Maharlika, San Antonio, San Jose, and Vasra.
Netizens applauded the actor’s generosity toward the welfare of the people in Quezon City.
In January this year, Atayde got linked to speculations of him entering politics as Congressman for Quezon City’s fifth district.
Sylvia Sanchez, Atayde’s mother, shared that her son is eyeing to be a public servant for the first district, not the fifth district.
