Amidst the ABS-CBN’s shut down, the network sealed partnerships with different channels and utilized its existing cable channels to air some of its programs.
These channels include A2Z (formerly Zoe TV), TV5, Kapamilya Channel, Cine Mo!, and Jeepney TV.
Here’s how each channel contributes to ABS-CBN shows’ TV ratings based on the data recorded by AGB Nielsen NUTAM on July 29.
For the noontime show, It’s Showtime, 0.7% of its 1.0% rating is from A2Z, and the remaining is from Kapamilya Channel.
The top-rated Coco Martin-starrer series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano earned 5.3% from TV5, 3.8% from A2Z, 2.2% from Kapamilya Channel, and 0.3% from Cine Mo!
The drama series Huwag Kang Mangamba also got a huge percentage from TV5 with 3.3% while it got 2.5%, 1.1%, and 0.2% from A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and Jeepney TV, respectively.
With a 5.0% rating, the Kapamilya series Init sa Magdamag garnered half of its total ratings from TV5, 1.4% from A2Z, 1.0% from Kapamilya Channel, and 0.1% from Jeepney TV.
2.0% of La Vida Lena’s 3.8% rating is from TV5, while 1.0% came from A2Z and the remaining from Kapamilya Channel.
TV5 has about 14 stations nationwide, while A2Z has two analog stations. The remaining channels are available via pay-TV.
These channels helped a lot in keeping ABS-CBN in the business despite the non-renewal of the franchise.
