In a media conference held today, August 26, 2021, CJ Navato shared that he experienced serenading in the ABS-CBN dressing room.
But the singer-songwriter chose not to share the name of that showbiz friend.
He labeled that person as his ‘friend’ in the showbiz industry. He shared that he experienced serenading in the ABS-CBN because recently, he has been carrying his guitar.
Navato also admitted that he wrote two songs in Tagalog and English for this unnamed showbiz friend, with whom he plans to release the songs.
Trying to divert the attention he was getting with the unnamed showbiz friend, he shared that the most recent serenade experience was when he sang his latest songs to his non-showbiz friend.
He also shared that this non-showbiz friend is his ‘go-to friend’ when it comes to his songs.
He always asked his non-showbiz friend, “if this sounds okay? Does this sound normal? Does it sound cringe?” It can be concluded that serenade experience as a ‘friendly harana’ who helps him with his music.
Navato released his latest single, In My Imagination, which expressed a profound message about love and relationships.
He recently joined Your Face Sounds Familiar 2021 that showed his diverse side as an actor and singer. He was also part of the Tawag ng Tanghalan as a celebrity contender

Growing up, Navato had the chance to be trained under Froilan Canlas when he joined Glee Club. He was also part of the PETA musical play titled, Charot in 2019, where he played a millennial role.
