After posting blind items and cryptic messages regarding other celebrities on his Instagram, Janus del Prado got accused of being a ‘gossip-monger.’
Prado didn’t disclose the names of the people he hinted. However, netizens were quick to connect the dots with the initials he has dropped. The names of Gerald Anderson, Julia Barretto, Bea Alonzo, and Pia Wurtzbach surfaced.
“Siyempre, ingat na lang tayo. May mga taong kapag wala nang mai-rebut, demanda ang sagot lagi so ingat na tayo,” Prado answered when asked by Ogie Diaz why he was only sharing the initials of the celebrities.
He confessed that even before the situation became a huge disaster, he was rooting for the relationship of G and B.
“Maganda naman makitungo sa akin si ano, si G, kaso nga lang, there is something na parang disingenuous, na parang di totoo. Pero syempre, lagi akong ‘praning ka lang’. So sabi ko ‘hmm, sige. Kung masaya naman ang kaibigan ko, okay lang.
“Pero laging may feeling ako na ‘Bakit? Ilang beses na tayong nagtatrabaho bakit ngayon parang ang close natin? Kino-close mo ko’. Pati nga ata damit ko sa premiere night, pinagawa pa niya. Pinatahi niya doon sa kaibigan niya.
“So ‘yung ano ko kay B na parang sorry ipinagtanggol namin siya nung time na ‘yun kasi wala talaga kaming alam. Wala kaming alam.
“Kaya nagtataka ako paano niyo sasabihing nakikisawsaw ako sa issue na ‘to ngayon, eh kasama ako? Kasama ako sa issue, hindi ‘to issue ng iba na nag-comment lang ako,” he stated.
Prado admitted that he owns B an apology for defending G when B already had a hunch that something was wrong. When B confirmed her instincts were correct from a legit source, Prado was one of the people considered to be on the ‘bad side’ for protecting G.
