The celebrity couple Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil or LizQuen denied rumors of them being ‘engaged.’
The ring on Soberano’s finger is only an accessory her stylist asked her to wear. For Gil, it was his ‘personal’ ring.
Ogie Diaz, the talent manager of Soberano, has shed some light over the viral matching rings Soberano and Gil were seen wearing on Liza’s latest YouTube vlog.
Diaz made clear that the somewhat identical rings the couple was wearing were not rings intended for couples.
“Yung singsing na ‘yan ay hindi totoo. Parang ano ‘yan photo shoot or nagba-vlog sila, nandoon si Perry. Ipinasuot ni Perry kay Liza ‘yung singsing na props,” Diaz admitted he was also shocked with the rumors.
“Naloka ako. Daming nag-tag. Parang ako, ha totoo ba ito? Bakit walang sinasabi sa akin si Liza? Ako ang manager, wala akong alam. Kaya siyempre dali-dali ako ay nag-text kay Liza para linawin lahat.
“Tinanong ko siya, ‘Anak, ano ba ito?’ So pinasa ko kay Liza ‘yung naka-encircle na singsing. Sabi ni Liza, ‘Parehong kanan po ‘yan. ‘Yung isa ay accessory na suot ko, ‘yun ‘yung galing kay Tito Perry; ‘yung ring po ni Quen, kanya po ‘yon.’
“Kaya sabi ko kay Liza, ‘Alam mo naman ako anak puwede mo akong lihiman basta huwag lang ako ‘yung last one to know.’ Ang sabi ni Liza, ‘No problem po, malalaman niyo po kung sakali.'”
Since 2014, Soberano has been officially in a relationship with Gil. The public caught the fancy of seeing the two stars’ chemistry when both starred with Bea Alonzo and Dingdong Dantes in a 2013 romantic-comedy flick, She’s the One, directed by Mae Czarina Cruz-Alviar.
