On November 18, Lyca Gairanod shared details about her plans of celebrating her birthday with ABS-CBN reporter Karen Davila.
During the media conference for ‘ARRIVAL: The Next Chapter of OPM,’ Gairanod confirmed her birthday celebration with the ABS-CBN reporter.
“Yes po, surprise, surprise birthday.”
She then revealed that she wanted to celebrate her birthday with her family while helping others.
“Madami po kasi kaming plans sa birthday ko. Gusto ko lang mag-bond with my family. Gusto ko po mag-help sa mga tao, especially kasi hindi lang po para sa akin ‘yung araw na ‘yun para din po sa mga tao ‘yun. Like inabangan po kasi nila ‘yung birthday ko so, mas gusto ko pong makatulong sa tao.”
Earlier, Gairanod and Davila went viral because of the Kapamilya reporter’s vlog. Recently, Davila posted a vlog about her birthday celebration with Gairanod.
As for her recent projects, Gairanod joins the artists in ARRIVAL: The Next Chapter of OPM.
She then shared her thoughts on performing in a virtual concert with no audience.
“Nasanay po ako na madaming taong kapag magperform and may mga audience. Parang ito po ‘yung new generation sa amin. Kailangan namin mas galingan pa kasi hindi namin nakikita ‘yung reaction ng mga tao. Hindi namin alam ‘yung magiging reaction nila.
“Mas mahirap din po mag-perform ng walang tao kasi para po mas nakakagana po kapag may audience. Napaka-challenge po nitong ginawa namin.”
Lyca listed what the audience can expect with her performance in the upcoming concert.
“Iba-iba po siguro ‘yung excitement na mararamdaman ng mga tao. Na kahit hindi man po kami nakikita na live na kumakanta, pero iba po ‘yung ipaparamdam po namin sa kanila. And then the collabs, talagang aabangan po nila ‘yun ng sobra.
“And then kinanta ko ‘yung second single ko po. Ito po ‘yung first time na kinanta ko siya ng live. Mas nag-enjoy po ako dito and mas magiging excited po silang lahat.”
‘ARRIVAL: The Next Chapter of OPM’ includes Pinoy artists such as ALAMAT, Because, LITZ, Lyca Gairanod, Magnus Haven, Claudia Barretto, DENY, Jehramae Trangia, Jona Soquite, and Cean Jr.
