On January 24, seasoned showbiz reporter Cristy Fermin slammed Vice Ganda after the comedian called out Marites culture in ‘It’s Showtime.’
During the live stream of her radio program, Cristy Ferminute, Fermin said Vice shouldn’t feel offended or “balat sibuyas” when people gossip about him, implying that the comedian is thick-skinned.
“Huwag kang nagiging balat sibuyas kung kasing kapal na ng repolyo ang mukha mo. Nagbabalat sibuyas ka pa, nagagalit ka pa kapag ang Marites pinagpipistahan ka. E bakit ka magagalit, dun lang naman sila kumukuha sa post mo?”
She also pointed out that Vice posts about his personal life on social media.
“Kung gaano ka kayaman, sino binilhan mo ng bahay, anong nabili mo ay kung paano kayo magmahalan ni Ion Perez.
“Anong malay ng publiko sa buhay mo? Sa ‘yo yan nanggagaling kaya huwag nagbabalat sibuyas kung kasing kapal ng kung ano anong gulay ang mukha.”
She then noted that Vice shouldn’t post things about him and his beau Ion Perez if he doesn’t want people to gossip about them.
“Tigilan mo ang pagpo-post tungkol sa sarili mo at kay Ion, at kung ano ang kayamanang nasa iyo. Wala ka ring matitikman na kahit ano mula sa mga Marites.”
Earlier, It’s Showtime host Jugs Jugueta politely debunked the claims made by the seasoned showbiz reporter Lolit Solis that Vice was power-tripping on their noontime show.
Solis appreciated the correction made by Jugueta and even posted about it on social media.
Vice then jokingly mentioned Lolit Solis on ‘It’s Showtime’ following the incident. He then called out the Marites or gossip culture, describing it as a reprehensible act.
“Depende iyan sa mga sina-subscribe-an niyo, e, kung saan mo ine-expose yung sarili mo.
“Nakukuha mo yung energy na iyon kung yung mga sina-subscribe niyo, pinapanood, o binabasa, masasaya [ay] gumaganda [ang energy niyo].
“Pag sina-subscribe niyo, pinapanood niyo, pinapakinggan, pinaniniwalaan o binabasa yung mga pangit na chika, nakakapangit iyan.
“Kaya, di ba, ang mga pinakapangit na tao sa mundo yung mga Marites?”
Fermin and Solis host the online show, ‘Take It Per Minute… Meganon’ alongside fellow showbiz reporter Mr. Fu.
