The increase in ratings of ABS-CBN programs becomes visible as they join the Top 20 Most-Watched programs list of AGB Nielsen.
As January ends, ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’, ‘The Broken Marriage Vow’, ‘Viral Scandal’, ‘La Vida Lena’, and ‘TV Patrol’ joined the leaderboards.
The longest-running Kapamilya series ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ remained as the #1 ABS-CBN program and #3 overall.
On January 24, it earned a 10.5% rating and 10.1% the following day.
On January 26 and 27, ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ ratings breached the 11% mark.
The newest Kapamilya program, ‘The Broken Marriage Vow’ was also established in the rating chart.
The Jodi Sta. Maria and Zanjoe Marudo-starrer series had a steady rise in ratings for its pilot episodes.
It also recorded a huge improvement compared to its preceded program ‘Marry Me, Marry You’, which ended on January 21.
Another Kapamilya series, ‘Viral Scandal’, was consistent in the Top 20 list last week.
On January 24 and 25, it ranked 16th with a 3.6% rating. The following day, it climbed up to the 15th spot with 4.0% but dropped to 3.8% on January 27.
‘La Vida Lena’ consistently earned a 2.9% rating from January 26 to 28, ranking at the bottom of the Top 20 list.
The news program of ABS-CBN ‘TV Patrol’, which recently returned to free TV via A2Z, is slowly getting back on track with improving ratings.
It earned 2.9% from January 24 to 25 and increased to 3.3% the following day. However, it dropped to 2.9% again on January 27.
Despite ABS-CBN’s limited reach due to the non-renewal of its franchise, its programs can still compete against other programs in free TV.
