Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo on Friday, March 25, will be saying “yes” to boyfriend Dominic Roque in case he proposes to her sometime this year.
Alonzo, 34, pointed out that she is already at the age of taking relationships seriously.
“S’yempre naman… I mean hindi naman ako nandito sa relasyon para lang maglaro ‘di ba? Alam naman natin na s’yempre at my age, I want that also,” she explained during the press conference for her Beautéderm endorsement.
However, they are not in a rush to get married, provided that she is just starting her career in GMA Network.
“Alam naman niya na marami akong gagawin, alam naman niya ang mga priorities ko sa ngayon.”
Alonzo also shared, “S’yempre nasa edad na rin kami. Oo naman, parang here and there, napag-uusapan. Pero wala pa yung talagang parang sit down na planning. Wala pa kami doon. Kasi sa totoo lang parang bagu-bago pa yung relasyon namin.”
But if Roque gets down on one knee and proposes to her, she said, “Pero kung sakaling mag-propose siya siyempre u-oo ako.”
Meanwhile, her friends Anne Curtis and Angelica Panganiban do not pressure her to start a family of her own.
“Hinding-hindi ako mape-pressure just because all of my friends are married, or gonna get married, or have babies.
“Kung na-pressure ako siguro parang dapat five years, four years ago. Kasi mga kaibigan ko from high school, nagsipag-asawa na tsaka mga nagsipag-anak na.”
She added, “I refuse to be compared to these wonderful women. Kasi kanya-kanya tayo nang strengths.”
The actress also clarified that she would start a family once she knew that they would be her first priority.
“Sa ngayon sinabi ko nga parang ang dami ko pang gagawin. Parang ayoko namang hindi i-prioritize ang family ko kapag nandiyan na yung family ko.
“So siguro ngayon ipa-prioritize ko muna yung ma na-oohan ko na proyekto. S’yempre ayoko naman na nakakahiya naman sa kanila ‘di ba? Parang iintayin nila ako and then nakakahon all the while. Andito muna tayo sa present. Yung future saka na natin pag-usapan,” she explained.
Alonzo now joins Maja Salvador, Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes, and Piolo Pascual as the brand ambassadors for Beautéderm.
