During the April 26 episode of the noontime show, It’s Showtime, comedian-host Vice Ganda asked a SexyBabe contestant about bashing and trolling on social media.
Twitter was abuzz as netizens tried to guess the person that Vice Ganda was referring to during the question and answer portion of It’s Showtime’s segment, Showtime SexyBabe.
For the second contestant, Janah Erica Mente, Vice Ganda’s question was about bashing and trolling on the Internet.

“Naniniwala ka ba na kapag basher ka sa social media, toxic ka rin sa totoong buhay (Do you believe that being a basher on social media makes you toxic in real life)?” Vice Ganda asked.
The contestant responded by saying she does not believe that that is the case.
“Kung basher ka sa social media… ’yon po ay parang nagseseek ka lang ng attention (If you’re a basher on social, likely, it is just your way to draw attention),” Mente replied.
Vice Ganda then went on to share about a friend, who is now employed as an Internet troll.
“May kilala din akong ganito…sa totong buhay hindi naman s’ya toxic talaga. Pero basher s’ya sa social media. Tapos nalaman ko na troll pala sya (I know someone who is like this. In real life, he’re really not a toxic person,. But he is a basher online. Then I found out that he is actually a troll),” he informed Mente and his fellow hosts, Ogie Alcasid and Vhong Navarro.
“Trabaho nya kasi wala siyang pera eh. So yun ‘yung epekto…ginawa nya ‘yun, kumapit sya ‘don, kahit mali, kasi kailangan nya ng pera kasi naghihirap sya (That’s the job he got when he got too broke. That’s the effect…he did it to survive, even though he knew it was wrong),
“Kaya sinabi ko sa iba naming kaibigan, wag nyo nang patulan. Masakit man pero ‘yun ang epekto sa kanya ng kahirapaan (I told our mutual friends to understand him…because ut compelled him to pursue due to his challenging situation),” Vice Ganda added.
On twitter, many netizens went on a guessing frenzy, although a lot seemed to have guessed the same person.

Ruthiee, on the hand, only has admiration for the Kapamilya host, for his efforts to shed light upon relevant and timely issues. “Bilib talaga ako dito sa taong to.. Hindi ako nagkamali ng minahal.. Napakabuti ng puso, mapagpasensya, mapagintindi, at hindi nagtatanim ng sama ng loob. (I really admire this person. I’m glad I made the right choice. What a kimdhearted and patient person,…very understing and never resentful)
