Social media personality and YouTuber Janina Vela shared her sentiments regarding negative campaigning.
On May 3, via Twitter, Vela wondered why calling out candidates with criminal allegations is considered negative campaigning.

“Tanong lang po, bakit po ‘negative campaigning’ yung pag-call out ng criminal allegations ng isang kandidato pero hindi ang pagtawag na ‘loser’ o ‘lugaw’?” Vela captioned.
“Correction: hindi lang po pala ‘allegations’, kung hindi ‘CONVICTIONS’,” she replied to her initial post.
Vela is one of the celebrities and influencers who have shown their support for the presidential aspirant Vice President Leni Robredo and vice-presidential aspirant Senator Kiko Pangilinan.
“Iboboto ko si Leni Robredo dahil sa Gobyernong Tapat, may say ang Pilipino at papakinggan ang boses ng lahat,” she stated.
Vela is present during the campaign sorties of Robredo and Pangilinan. She is also actively campaigning the two during house-to-house campaigns.
Vela now has more than 723K subscribers on her YouTube channel, where some of her content talks about the Martial Law. She has also surpassed 334k followers on Instagram.
