On June 22, Paola Gigi Blasselle won the crown for Mutya ng Palawan 2022 at the PGP Convention Center.
At the return of the Baragatan Festival celebration, Blasselle, from Busuanga, took home the crown for Mutya ng Palawan 2022 alongside a P100,000 cash prize, certificate, sash, and bouquet. Aside from the title, Paola Gigi Blasselle also bagged the Best in Evening Gown with a cash prize of P15,000.00.
Aside from Blasselle, the other winners are Fritzie Mendoza of Taytay for Mutya ng Palawan Tourism with a P75,000 cash prize.
Kristin Mae Santos of San Vicente and Lian Dale Ballena of Puerto Princesa City won Mutya ng Palawan North and Mutya ng Palawan South respectively, with a cash prize of P50,000.
Gillean Jagmis of Cuyo won the 1st runner-up crown and a cash prize of P30,000.
The Top 10 Finalists include Jirah Ayunan of Aborlan, Kyla Catrina De Luz of Cagayancillo, Katrina Ando of Coron, Johnelle Acosta of Rizal, and Rona Sadang of Brooke’s Point.
The minor awardees include Eliza Mae Castaño of El Nido for Best in Festival Costume with a cash prize of P20,000.00. The 1st runner-up for Mutya ng Taytay received P10,000.00, and the 2nd runner-up of Mutya ng Cuyo won P5,000.00.
Rona Sadang of Brooke’s Point bagged the Best in Talent si alongside a P15,000.00 cash prize. Kyla Catrina De Luz of Cagayancillo got the Miss Friendship with a P10,000.00 cash prize, while Yvonne Rodriguez of Araceli got the Coca-Cola Best in Swimsuit with a cash prize of P15,000.00. Jirah Ayunan of Aborlan got the title of Miss Photogenic.
Kapamilya actor JC de Vera, and Mutya ng Palawan 2011 and Miss Philippine Earth Fire 2012 Thoreen Halvorsen hosted the said event.
The panel of judges includes Ms. Olga Monera-Azarcon, Provincial Information Officer Atty. Christian Jay V. Cojamco, Dra. Letty Chua-Cham, Mr. Auraeus Solito, Mr. Bren Evangelista, Ms. Mutya Johann Datul, Dr. Ivan Michael Vicente, Lt. Com.
