On Friday, July 22, It’s Showtime host and comedian Vice Ganda was revealed to be among the special guest of Beks Battalion in their upcoming concert Beks 2 Beks 2 Beks.
In the press conference of the concert, Beks Battalion member MC Muah revealed that it was not the first time that Vice was invited to grace their event.
During their digital concert Beksinated back in October 2021, the Kapamilya host was supposed to make an appearance but did not.
“Unang-una, kasi sobrang busy ni Vice, tapos at the same time, may bago ngayon na (slot) ang It’s Showtime, nasa free TV na. So ‘yung time na bago kami mag-US, ay medyo may pahapyaw na sinasabihan na namin siya.
“Pero feeling niya, parang hindi naman kami seryoso na nagi-invite. Kasi last year, noong nag-online concert kami, naimbitahan na namin siya,” MC shared.
But during their visit to the United States, MC let the Unkabogable Vice Ganda know that he will be in Beks 2 Beks 2 Beks.
“So noong nag-US kami, doon ko kinonfirm sa kanya na, ‘Ate, parang mas gusto namin na mag-guest ka.'”
His response, according to MC was this: “Sige, go ako diyan. Magsuportahan tayo. Wala tayong pag-uusapan.”
The support they receive from Vice also began during their stint as stand-up comedians at Comedy Bar. It was the Kapamilya host that taught them to save and be professional.
“Unang-una ho, kahit sa comedy bars pa lang po, mag-ipon. Mag-ipon talaga. ‘Yun ang lang lagi niyang tinuturo kasi siya, hindi pa siya artista, may ipon na si Vice Ganda.
“Tapos pangalawa, disiplina. Kasi sa lahat po ng nagco-comedy bar, isa po si Vice Ganda sa napaka-disiplinadong tao. Hindi siya papasok nang hindi okay ang utak niya para magpatawa.
“From head to foot, nakaplano lahat ng susuotin niyan,” said MC.
Apart from Vice, Bugoy Drilon, Daryl Ong, Michael Pangilinan, Zeinab Harake, Jelai Andres, Tonton Soriano and Divine Tetay, and Buboy Villar will also be guesting in Beks 2 Beks 2 Beks.
