Alex Gonzaga apologized for being rude to the waiter she humiliated or or claimed to have fun with, as she promised to rise, be wiser, and be a better person after the public backlash.
On January 18, via Instagram Stories, Gonzaga asked for an apology to the waiter, Allan Crisostomo, and her family.
“On my birthday, God taught me a hard and important lesson. Humility, kindness, and better judgment.
“I am truly sorry, Kuya Allan.
“To my family, I am sorry for causing you pain and embarrassment. I will rise from this a wiser and better person.”
Before Gonzaga’s public apology, a handwritten statement from the waiter was released to the media, saying the former personally visited the latter to ask for an apology.
“Last January 17, 2023 around 6:30 PM nasa work po ako. Pumunta po si Ma’am Alex kung saan po ako nagwowork.
“Then nag apologize and nagsorry siya saken tapos konting kwentuhan at sinabi ko po sa kanya na ok na po yung nangyari. Ok na po kami,” Crisostomo wrote.
On January 16, a viral clip showing Gonzaga being rude to a waiter who was serving during her birthday party circulated online.
