On March 28, ABS-CBN music creative director Jonathan Manalo highlighted how inspiring it was to produce music for Jamie Rivera.
At the media launch of Inspire Music and Rivera’s single, 3 in 1, which LionhearTV covered, Manalo emphasized the Inspirational Diva’s contribution to the music industry.
“I think inspiring should be the word because working with Miss Jamie Rivera, an icon, a pillar of the industry already, is sobrang inspiring from my end. Kasi siyempre, nagsimula naman si Miss Jamie–bata pa lang ako, wala pa ako sa music industry, Jamie Rivera na siya. Ang dami na niya talagang na-contribute sa industriya natin.”
He also looked back at Rivera’s musical journey and how she evolved from a Pop singer to the inspirational icon known today.
“And she has been in a long journey already, nagsimula siya sa mga minahal natin na love songs, di ba?
“Na sobrang sumikat talaga sa Pop landscape, and then nag-evolve siya into this inspirational icon na kumakanta talaga ng mga songs na nandoon kung kailan nating kailangan na kailangan.
“Di ba, siya ‘yung nagprovide ng inspiration, and being able to work with her is not actually challenging, but actually very inspiring.”
Manalo then emphasized Inspire Music’s goal of inspiring people struggling with mental health through music.
“Kasi siyempre, to get involved in projects like this, na magpapa-inspire sa mga tao, at magpapagaan ng kung ano mang pinagdadaanan ng kung sino mang makikinig nito, is really very inspiring. Kahit na gaano pa ka-challenging pa ‘yung task na ‘yan, hindi magiging mabigat ‘yan for you. Kasi ang sarap lang gawin, kasi you’re doing something, na makakatulong, sa napakaraming tao, in terms of their mindset, and their mental health, and spirtual health.”
As for Rivera, the Inspirational Diva takes on a new role as the head and creative consultant of ABS-CBN’s new music label, Inspire Music.
Rivera wrote, produced, and performed the song 3 in 1 with Fabio Santos and Imogen.
As for the single, it is an upbeat song with a reggae vibe that talks about the joy of believing in God, three persons in one, referring to the Holy Trinity or God the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Stream 3 in 1 digital music platforms starting Friday (March 31).
