Mixed reactions came overwhelmingly at the recently-concluded Miss Universe Philippines 2023 coronation night on May 13. The event drew disapproving and hilarious reactions; many noted this edition is probably the most suspicious and messiest since the local franchise transferred to its current owner.

Many of those who watched the show were taken aback by the decision to null the previously announced Top 10 results and allow the Top 18 to compete in the Evening Gown round, where the top five would be selected from.
