On June 5, Kapuso director Mark Reyes announced that production of the Encantadia spin-off Sang’gre would start soon.
On his Instagram account, Reyes posted a photo of the creative team looking over and analyzing the Fae Kingdom of Lireo, the home of the Diwata.
Reyes wrote, “Game on #encantadiks ! #sanggre production starts soon… #pixelpeepers Agtu!!!”
The director previously teased Sang’gre in 2022 through a project poster. He then shared an update in March 2023, revealing the creative meeting for the show.
Aside from Reyes’ announcements, fans also noticed the training videos of Bianca Umali seemingly preparing for a role in the upcoming series through Arnis.
Arnis was the signature weapon of one of the Sang’gre, Danaya, formerly portrayed by Sanya Lopez and Diana Zubiri.
