In a bid to revolutionize the action genre in the Philippines, Richard Gutierrez, the lead star of ‘The Iron Heart,’ surprised Italians while shooting in the picturesque city of Rome, Italy. Gutierrez and his team caught them off guard with their exceptional skills and resourcefulness.
The TIH team’s competence was so astonishing that the locals could not help but shower them with admiration.
Gutierrez himself took to Instagram to share his excitement, posting a video of an exhilarating fight scene shot in Rome and expressing gratitude to his team Star Creatives TV and Action 360 PH. He also made sure to give a special shout-out to the phenomenal Italian stunt team involved in the production.
“My first fight scene in Europe is definitely one for the history books. Thanks to my team @starcreativestv & @action_360ph for making this possible. Shout out to our awesome Italian stunt team as well,” Gutierrez wrote.
Reflecting on their time in Rome, Gutierrez shared at the press conference for ‘The Iron Heart’ on June 26, “Sa lahat ng pinagdaanan na mga action sequences namin sa Rome, at the end of it, natuwa yung mga Italiano samin at nagulat sila sa skill namin, sa skill ng team namin, and humanga sila sa Pinoy.”
Gutierrez had longed to shoot in Europe, and his dream has now become a reality.
The opportunity to film in Rome was made possible through the support and unwavering commitment of ABS-CBN, which spared no expense in ensuring the production quality of ‘The Iron Heart.’ Gutierrez graciously thanked the network for allowing them to bring their action-packed story to life on such a grand scale.
