BEAR BRAND upholds its commitment to strengthen the learning journey of a Batang Matibay as it kicks-off the Brigada Eskwela 2023. In partnership with the Department of Education, BEAR BRAND continues the roll-out of its Tibay Chairs program to public schools across the nation, and marks the 5th year of the Batang Matibay Awards Program which supports outstanding public school students with a college scholarship.
The Tibay Chairs Program aims to equip schools in providing an enriched school environment, so that students can wholeheartedly immerse in their learning. The Tibay Chairs are also innovatively made from upcycled BEAR BRAND® sachets, reflecting the brand’s dedication to sustainable solutions.
Together with this initiative, BEAR BRAND, in partnership with the Department of Education, is gearing up for the 5th year of the Batang Matibay Awards. This prestigious program awards college scholarships to 10 outstanding public school students from Grades 5 to 6 who exemplify the qualities of Tibay ng Katawan, Isipan, at Kalooban in their academic and everyday endeavors.

BEAR BRAND’s enduring partnership with DepEd has been instrumental in facilitating the reach and impact of their advocacy programs. Since 2016, The Tibay Chairs Program has distributed over 20,000 chairs to public schools, while the Batang Matibay Awards has received over 400 nominations and awarded 40 outstanding students with college scholarships.
