General Santos City councilor Michael Pacquiao, son of boxing icon Manny Pacquiao and Jinkee Pacquiao, has become the subject of online speculation after netizens noticed what they believe is a change in his appearance.

Photos and a short video clip of Michael circulating on social media sparked discussions, with many pointing out what they described as a more prominent or “tangos” nose.
The clip, shared by a netizen, showed Michael in conversation with his parents during a gathering, prompting viewers to scrutinize his facial features.
In the comment sections, netizens were quick to voice their observations and opinions.
“Wow si Michael ba yan, nag-iba ang mukha or nagpatangos ng ilong,” one user wrote.
Another commented, “Nagpretoke si sir Michael pero ang gwapo, bumagay sa kanya.”
Others were more divided, with remarks such as, “He didn’t need to do that though. He looks fine. But to each his own so I’m happy for him,” and, “Mas bagay sa kanya yung pango… pero pera naman niya ‘yan.”
Some defended the young councilor, stressing that personal choices should not be judged, while a few questioned whether the person in the video was indeed Michael—an assertion quickly countered by other netizens who insisted it was him.
As of this writing, Michael has not issued any statement or response addressing the rumors.
The online scrutiny comes amid renewed attention to Michael’s past openness about his mental health struggles. In a May 2023 interview with journalist Julius Babao, Michael spoke candidly about being bullied for his appearance and family background during his younger years.
“I couldn’t fit in kasi Pacquiao [daw ako]. They thought na Inglesero ako… They would make fun of my face, my name,” he said in the interview.
He also revealed that he battled depression as a teenager, admitting he once had thoughts of ending his life at the age of 16 before stopping himself after thinking of his parents and family.
Despite growing up in a famous and financially comfortable household, Michael emphasized that money did not shield him from personal struggles.
“People think na, ‘Pacquiao lang maraming pera,’ pero hindi naman ganon… money doesn’t solve all problems,” he said.
Michael, who is also pursuing a music career alongside his political role, has previously encouraged others facing similar struggles to seek help and remember that they are not alone.
