In a press conference celebrating the second anniversary of ‘Regal Studio Presents’ held on September 19, Kapuso actress Lexi Gonzales opened up about her encounters with “snakes” and “fake people” in the entertainment industry.
Lexi, the First Princess of ‘StarStruck Seaon VII,’ didn’t hold back when discussing the presence of insincere individuals in the showbiz world.
The actress admitted that there are many “snakes” within the industry but stressed the importance of choosing battles wisely. “Marami. At sa industriya natin, hindi naman mawawala yan. Pero, ano kasi, minsan alam natin kung dapat ang battles natin. We must choose our battles,” Lexi humorously remarked.
Lexi made it clear that she has never engaged with such individuals, saying, “Pipiliin mo na lang kung saan ka lalaban. Kasi, kung hindi naman worth it, ba’t mo lalabanan?”
Lexi also shared her confidence in her relationship with fellow Kapuso artist Gil Cuerva, underscoring the significance of trust in their partnership. “Ako kasi, with loyalty, comes trust, e. Importante talaga sa relationship ang tiwala. Lalo na sa industriya natin, di ba? Aminin na natin, marami diyan na ahas. Marami diyan na mga plastic. Pero, nasa sa ‘yo na yan, e, if you trust your partner,” Lexi explained.
The actress and Gil Cuerva, both actors in the same industry, mutually trust each other, leading to a strong sense of loyalty within their relationship.
Lexi also discussed her professional experiences working with various leading men in the industry. “Sanay naman akong napa-partner sa different leading men. Like my last Regal Studio Presents, I was with Abdul Rahman and also with Dustin Yu. Mapababae man yan, lalaki, bakla, tomboy, butiki, baboy, kahit ano, I’m okay. Basta trabaho,” Lexi emphasized.
