“It’s Showtime,” the popular noontime variety TV show, is celebrating its 15th anniversary as it announced the groupings of its hosts for the much-anticipated Magpasikat 2024 from October 21 to 25.
Vice Ganda, Karylle, and Ryan Bang will be kicking off the weeklong Magpasikat performances. Ogie Alcasid, Kim Chiu, MC and Lassy will perform on Tuesday. They will be followed by Vhong Navarro, Amy Perez, Daren Espanto and Ion Perez on Wednesday. Anne Curtis, Jugs Jugueta and Teddy Corpuz will be performing on Thursday. Finally to cap off Magpasikat, Jhong Hilario, Jackie Gonzaga and Cianne Dominguez will perform on Friday.
“First time in 15 years na Lunes ako mage-perform. I will make sure that the bar that we will set gives you anxiety. Tataasan natin ‘yang bar na ‘yan,” Vice Ganda playfully told his co-hosts during an interview with TV Patrol.
Kim Chiu also promised a “bonggang” performance given that they have two months to prepare for it.
Darren Espanto shared his thoughts on participating in Magpasikat for the first time.
“I never would’ve imagined na magiging parte ako ng Magpasikat teams. Dati nag-guest lang ako, then naging hurado. It’s something na I’m looking forward to. Kinakabahan but at the same time very excited,” Darren expressed.
Meanwhile, “Showtime Online U” also celebrated its eighth anniversary with its hosts performing during the opening of “It’s Showtime.”
“Kasi hindi lang naman tayo umeere sa telebisyon. Malaking bagay na merong nanonood sa atin sa digital. You keep them entertained, you keep them cool. Kaya maraming maraming salamat,” Vice said.
“Showtime Online U” is hosted Wize Estabillo, AC Soriano, Nicki Morena, Lorraine Galvez, JM dela Cerna, Marielle Montellano, Anthony Castillo, Anne Tenorio, Jannah Alanise, and Mackie Empuerto, Sheena Belarmino, and Eris Aragoza.
As the excitement builds, the hosts expressed their heartfelt thanks to the loyal viewers who have supported them over the years.
“Thank you so much po sa mga nagtiwala sa amin. Alam namin ‘yung mga tiwalang binigay niyo sa amin kaya papangatawanan namin ‘yan every single day na bibigyan kami ng schedule dito. Lahat ng mga kwentuhan dito sobrang special ‘yun for me,” AC shared.
“Showtime Online U” also launched a new segment “MagpaCHIKA,” which gives updates about preparations for Magpasikat 2024. SOU teased viewers when it revealed snippets of Ogie, Kim, Lassy, and MC’s group chat last Tuesday.
