Klarisse de Guzman Embraces Her Truth on ‘PBB Celebrity Collab Edition’

This is not the first time that a PBB housemate revealed themselves as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Tonight (April 2)’s episode of Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Celebrity Collab Edition delivered a heartfelt and groundbreaking moment as celebrity housemate Klarisse de Guzman bravely revealed her true gender identity to the world.
The much-anticipated disclosure, teased two days ago on March 31, had kept fans buzzing with curiosity, and Klarisse shared a deeply personal truth that left both her fellow housemates and viewers in awe.
During a segment where housemates were tasked with sharing little-known aspects of their lives, Klarisse opened up about the fear that had long held her back from being fully authentic. As a celebrated singer with a loyal fanbase, she admitted that exposing her true self was a daunting prospect—not just for her career, but for the sake of her family and her loved ones.
“Matagal kong pinag-isipan kung sasali ba ako ng PBB, kasi hindi ko alam kung kaya kong i-expose ‘yung buhay ko. Actually, nung una nag-no ako eh. ‘Kaya ko ba? Kaya ko bang i-open ang buhay ko sa tao? Sa public?’” she confessed, recalling her initial hesitation to join the show.
In a moment of raw vulnerability, Klarisse declared, “Tingin ko ito na ‘yung time para sabihin sa inyong lahat, and to tell the world, that I’m not straight.”
The room erupted in support, with housemates Michelle Dee and Esnry forming a heart sign in the air as Klarisse continued, “I am bi. Kinukuwento ko sa inyo na I have a partner for four years. Her name is Trina.”
The revelation—that she has been in a loving relationship with a woman named Trina for four years—was met with visible pride from those around her.
Klarisse shared that she hadn’t anticipated finding the strength to come out on such a public stage, but something within her clicked. She also revealed that her family, including her late father who passed away four months ago, had always known about her relationship with Trina, whom she suspected may be watching the episode with her mom.
The teaser released two days prior had sparked widespread speculation among fans, many of whom vowed to stand by Klarisse no matter what she shared. Their faith was rewarded as her courage resonated far beyond the PBB house.
X user Aya praised the moment, writing, “Klarisse opening up about her sexuality on national TV is a brave and empowering moment. Representation matters, and her honesty helps break stigmas. Nothing is wrong with being who you are.”

Another fan, rem, expressed gratitude, saying, “Thank you for being so strong Klang! You gave the gay kids who are watching a courage to speak up their truth. Someday, MABUHAY ANG MGA BADING!!!”

Inside the house, Klarisse beamed with pride as she recounted how supportive her parents had been. “I am proud!!!” she exclaimed, celebrating her liberation after years of carrying the weight of her unspoken truth.
When asked by Big Brother himself why she seemed so joyful, she replied, “Para sa akin, ito ay isang bagay na dapat sini-celebrate. Ayoko pong maging masyadong emosyonal kasi sobrang saya ng nararamdaman ko, Kuya.”
She added, “Now, eto, sobrang… nasabi ko na po ang totoo and hindi na ako takot, wala na akong kinatatakutan, ready na ako kung ano man ang itatanong nila. Kumbaga, wala nang walls, Kuya.”
Klarisse’s revelation marks another historic moment for PBB, a show that has long served as a platform for authenticity. Fans will recall that it was also on this show that former matinee idol Rustom Padilla, now known as BB Gandanghari, came out as gay years ago.
With Klarisse’s story, the message rings clear: love wins, and being true to oneself is a victory worth celebrating.
