The country’s leading foam and mattress manufacturer, Uratex, opened the doors of its flagship Plaridel Plant to media and content creators, offering an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at its world-class operations.
The factory tour was followed by a celebratory gathering at the RONAC Living Gallery in Mandaluyong, where the company marked its 17th consecutive Platinum Most Trusted Brand Award from Reader’s Digest in the mattress category.
The event, aptly themed ‘Tried, Tested, Trusted,’ highlighted Uratex’s commitment to quality manufacturing, operational excellence, and the lasting trust it has built with generations of Filipino families.
Spanning 45 hectares, the Plaridel Plant is the largest in the Uratex network and can produce an average of 14,000 mattresses per day. Visitors witnessed state-of-the-art foaming technology, automated mattress assembly lines, and strict quality assurance protocols.
From raw material mixing to curing, cutting, testing, and assembly, the facility operates with precision and sustainability in mind. Among the most impressive upgrades is the automated mattress assembly line introduced in 2023, which improves efficiency while reducing material waste.
The plant, operational since 2000, employs over 500 workers across production, warehousing, and logistics. Managing Director Peachy Medina revealed that expansion plans are underway, including the development of a new distribution center to further optimize nationwide delivery.
Later that day, the celebration continued at the RONAC Living Gallery, where Reader’s Digest formally presented Uratex with its 17th Platinum Trusted Brand Award, based on surveys measuring product quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
“This recognition reminds us to keep earning the trust of Filipino families every day,” said Natividad Cheng, Uratex CEO. “For decades, we’ve stood by our customers with comfort and quality. This award reflects the reliability Filipinos have placed in us.”
Medina added, “Being recognized as a Trusted Brand for 17 years is a meaningful affirmation. Trust is earned—through our products, our service, and the promises we keep.”
