Rising stars Ashtine Olviga and Andres Muhlach are set to make hearts flutter on the big screen with their upcoming film ‘Minamahal: 100 Bulaklak Para kay Luna’, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Jason Paul Laxamana.

The rom-com marks the first movie outing of the AshDres love team following the success of their Viva One series ‘Ang Mutya ng Section E’ — and according to Ashtine, her co-star is definitely “kainlab-inlab.”
“Ahh, kainlab-inlab? Opo naman! Hahaha!” she exclaimed during the film’s recent story conference when asked if Andres is crush-worthy.
The movie’s teaser, released on July 4, instantly trended online and racked up over 12 million views in just 24 hours — a testament to the strong fan base of the AshDres tandem. In the clip, Andres’ character, Raffy, is seen picking flowers when he suddenly spots Luna, played by Ashtine, and everything seems to stop in that moment.
“Personally, nagulat talaga ako,” said Ashtine. “Noong matanggap ko ‘Ang Mutya ng Section E,’ hindi naman ako nag-e-expect, parang akala ko hanggang doon na lang ‘yon. And sobrang thankful ako na nasundan agad ‘yon — and with Andres pa rin.”
Andres also shared his gratitude for the overwhelming support: “Hindi ko rin ine-expect ‘yung support from the fans. From ‘Mutya ng Section E,’ tapos ngayon sa ‘Minamahal,’ sobrang grateful kami. Parang the support we got from the fans and now may movie kaya, we just want to do our best for them.”
The film tells the story of Raffy, a quiet, flower-loving high school student who tries to win the affection of Luna, a visual artist who doesn’t believe in love. Raffy gives her flowers during important moments in her life, hoping to reach her heart. As the years pass, their connection deepens — until college and real-life challenges put their relationship to the test.
Director Jason Paul Laxamana clarified that AshDres weren’t chosen solely for their online popularity. “It went through a vigorous process bago napunta sa kanila ang project. The script has been existing before pa magkaroon ng ‘Mutya’ or even pa magkaroon ng AshDres loveteam.”
He added that fan reactions have been overwhelming. “Ako personally, na-shock ako the next day — ipina-billboard na ng mga fans. Even international fans are talking about the teaser on TikTok — in Spanish!”
Ashtine, who was recently targeted by online criticism, received support from Andres. When asked how he helped her during those tough moments, Andres said: “Kami naman ni Ash, we support each other kasi we’re partners sa movie. We just help each other.”
Ashtine responded with calm and grace: “Tungkol naman doon, wala. Natatawa na lang ako kasi kung totoo, masasaktan ako.”

The two are staying professional despite fans rooting for real-life romance. “We are professionals talaga. We know what’s right and what’s wrong,” said Andres. Ashtine agreed: “Pina-prioritize namin ang work. Sobrang thankful kami sa mga blessing.”
Before the film hits theaters on September 24, 2025, AshDres fans can catch the duo at the VIVA ONE: VIVARKADA concert, happening August 15 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, alongside other rising Viva artists.
