Raymond Lauchengco marks 60th birthday with sold-out concert ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ at Solaire

Veteran actor and singer Raymond Lauchengco celebrated his 60th birthday in grand fashion, staging a sold-out concert titled ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ on November 28, 2025, at The Theatre at Solaire—a night that doubled as a tribute to fans, family, and the people who shaped his storied career.

The milestone show overflowed with nostalgia, powerhouse musical numbers, and emotional reunions, proving that the original Bagets heartthrob remains one of Philippine entertainment’s most enduring performers.

Lauchengco also released a new single, ‘My Favorite Story,’ as a heartfelt ode to those who have supported him for decades.

The evening began with a touching video of a six-year-old Raymond singing ‘Dahil Sa ’Yo’, which delighted the packed venue. He then burst onto the stage with the upbeat classic ‘Just Got Lucky’—the iconic dance track from ‘Bagets’ (1983)—sending the audience to their feet.

The opening medley continued with ‘Don’t Forget Me When I’m Gone’ and ‘You To Me Are Everything’, until Raymond jokingly told the still-standing crowd: “Why don’t everybody just sit down?”

Raymond introduced his daughter, Nathalie, whom he lovingly called his “forever baby girl.” The two performed a tender duet of ‘Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love for You,’ echoing a video shown earlier of Nathalie singing at six years old.

He then sang ‘Evergreen,’ his audition piece from ‘The King and I’ under Repertory Philippines—the moment, he said, that “changed my life.”

Ice Seguerra joined Raymond for a duet of ‘Pagdating ng Panahon’, followed by Ice’s solo performance of ‘Araw Gabi’. Comedienne Mitch Valdes provided humor with her signature wit, entertaining the crowd with songs like ‘I Just Want to Make Love to You’ and ‘R-E-S-P-E-C-T’.

A surprise highlight was the appearance of Concert King Martin Nievera, who earlier had another engagement and was not billed as a guest. Martin and Raymond performed an electrifying Broadway medley featuring hits from ‘West Side Story’, ‘Phantom of the Opera’, ‘Cats’, and ‘Jekyll & Hyde’, including ‘Maria’, ‘Somewhere’, ‘All I Ask of You’, ‘Memory’, and ‘This Is the Moment’.

Martin then performed his own solo set before Raymond returned with classics including ‘Saan Darating Ang Umaga’, ‘So It’s You’, and ‘I Need You Back.’

The crowd lit up their mobile phones as Raymond crooned a Barry Manilow medley featuring ‘This One’s for You’, ‘Even Now’, ‘Somewhere Down the Road’, and ‘Weekend in New England’.

He later performed a string of 80s favorites, including ‘Everybody Have Fun Tonight’, ‘Electric Dreams’, ‘Just Got Lucky’ (reprise), and more.

Drawing the loudest cheers of the night, Megastar Sharon Cuneta finally joined Raymond onstage—a moment he had been dreaming of since last year.

They performed a heartfelt duet of ‘Pangarap Na Bituin,’ the theme from ‘Bituing Walang Ningning’ (1985), where they played siblings. Sharon also sang ‘Hagkan’ before closing their segment with another duet, ‘Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko.’

Raymond recalled his debut in Sharon’s 1982 film ‘Cross My Heart’, saying: “I was this obnoxious boyfriend who does nothing but to play chess.”

The concert—directed by Raymond’s sister Menchu Lauchengco with musical direction by Marvin Querido—also served as a benefit for the UP-PGH Otolaryngology Department, which celebrates its 65th anniversary this year.

Never-before-seen childhood photos, heartfelt anecdotes, and Raymond’s reflections made the night deeply personal. He later closed the show with ‘My Favorite Story’ and ‘Farewell.’

With a full-house audience that included longtime fans, colleagues, and friends such as Eula Valdez, Snooky Serna, and Cheska Inigo, ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ stood as proof that the star remains beloved across generations.

The concert was produced by Girlie Rodis’ Global Resource Creative Exchange, in partnership with Mia Rocha-Lauchengco and Angela Lauchengco. It was a night of music, memories, and milestones—one that celebrated not just Raymond Lauchengco’s 60th birthday, but also a legacy that continues to shine.
