Actor-producer Coco Martin has dismissed reports that his long-running action series ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ is nearing its end, assuring viewers that the show will continue despite its recent network transfer.

The series aired its final episode on TV5 on Thursday, January 1, 2026, and officially began airing on AllTV the following day, Friday, January 2. The move marked a new chapter for the Kapamilya-produced program after TV5 provided a temporary broadcast platform for ABS-CBN shows.
In an interview with the PEP Troika during a birthday gathering for character actor-director Ihman Esturco at Azadore restaurant in Quezon City on January 2, Coco addressed rumors that ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ was about to wrap up.
“Wala namang sinasabi sa amin,” Coco said. “Ang sinasabi lang sa amin, mas pagandahin at tuluy-tuloy lang ang trabaho.”
He added that the full support of ABS-CBN has boosted the morale of the cast and crew. “Mas pinapalakas nila ang loob namin—ng ABS, ng buong show. Kaya mapapansin n’yo, pahitik nang pahitik ang kuwento, mas tumitindi ang action,” he explained.
Coco also expressed gratitude to TV5 for giving Kapamilya programs a broadcast home following ABS-CBN’s shutdown in 2020. “Honestly, mas nagpapasalamat kami sa Channel 5 sa opportunity na ibinigay nila sa amin,” he said, noting that the journey from ‘Ang Probinsyano’ to ‘Batang Quiapo’ was something they once thought might not happen again.
As the show settles into its new home on AllTV, Coco appealed to loyal viewers to continue supporting the series. “Natsa-challenge siyempre, pero alam naman namin na nandiyan ang mga tao. Lahat ng sumuporta mula Probinsyano hanggang Batang Quiapo, alam naming nandiyan pa rin sila,” he said. “Dire-diretso lang po ang Batang Quiapo. Saan man kami lumipat, magkita-kita po tayo. Andiyan na po kami sa AllTV 2.”
Online viewership remains strong, with DreamscapePH reporting that 519,577 viewers tuned in to the January 2 episode via Kapamilya Online Live on YouTube.
Coco has also been actively promoting the show’s move to AllTV, joined by his partner Julia Montes, who shared his promotional video on social media. Fans have praised the actor for his continued loyalty to ABS-CBN, especially after recently renewing his contract with the network.
While speculation about the show’s eventual conclusion persists, Coco maintained that no end date has been discussed. For now, he said, the focus remains on improving the series and delivering stronger storytelling as ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ continues its run on free television.
