Comedian and television host Vice Ganda did not hide his irritation toward Quezon City 4th District Representative Bong Suntay following the lawmaker’s controversial remarks involving his ‘It’s Showtime’ co-host Anne Curtis.

Vice made the comment during the ‘Laro Laro Pick’ segment of ‘It’s Showtime’ on March 6, shortly after returning from a film festival trip in Japan.
While interacting with a contestant during the segment, Vice jokingly redirected his frustration toward the participant after the word “suso” was mentioned.
“Pinag-iinit mo ‘yong ulo ko,” Vice said.
He then referenced the congressman directly.
“Napunta sa ’yo ’yong bwisit ko kay Bong Suntay. Kanina kay Bong Suntay mainit [’yong ulo ko]. Ngayon sa ’yo na.”
Vice also delivered another remark that drew laughter from the audience.
“Huwag mo nang ipakita [’yong bra]. Baka ma-imagine ka pa niyan. ’Pag ikaw na-imagine niyan sinasabi ko sa ’yo. Hindi naman ’yon magso-sorry sa ’yo.”
The statement quickly circulated online, with clips of the moment trending on social media.
The issue began after Suntay mentioned Anne Curtis during a House Committee on Justice hearing connected to the impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte.

During the hearing, the congressman used the actress as an analogy and said: “Minsan nasa Shangri-La ako, nakita ko si Anne Curtis. Ang ganda-ganda pala niya. You know, may desire sa loob ko na nag-init talaga, na-imagine ko na lang kung ano ang puwedeng mangyari. Pero siyempre hanggang imagination na lang ’yon.”
The comment sparked widespread backlash from celebrities, public personalities, and netizens who called the statement inappropriate.
Suntay later issued an apology to those who felt offended, particularly Anne Curtis, but maintained that his remarks were part of an analogy during the hearing.
“I stand by my statement,” Suntay said, adding that the analogy was meant to illustrate how statements can be taken out of context.
Despite the apology, reactions from the entertainment industry continue to surface, with Vice Ganda among the latest personalities to publicly express frustration over the issue.
As of writing, Anne Curtis has yet to release an official statement regarding the controversy.
