Actor and public servant Arron Villaflor spoke out on the circulation of an alleged private video involving him, stressing that men can also be victims of digital abuse.

Villaflor, who currently serves as a Tarlac Provincial Board Member, said he believes a syndicate may be behind the spread of private videos involving several male personalities.
In an interview with TV5, Villaflor said he is currently doing okay and that authorities are already investigating the incident.
He emphasized that cases like this should not be viewed as affecting only women.
“It turns out na it’s not only women who can become victims, men can be victims also,” he said.
According to the actor, the situation highlights a larger issue of exploitation and harassment, which he believes is being turned into a business by certain groups.
Villaflor expressed concern that the repeated release of such videos suggests organized activity.
He said the unauthorized recording and distribution of private content is not only unethical but also illegal under Philippine law, particularly Republic Act No. 9995.
“It’s about time na matigil na ang ganitong klase ng pamamahiya at panghaharas sa mga inosenteng tao,” he said, noting that the situation involves exploitation for profit.
In an earlier statement, Villaflor addressed the issue directly, condemning the spread of the alleged video.
“I am formally addressing the unauthorized recording and illegal distribution of private video materials that have been circulating online in recent days.”
He clarified that his previous remarks in a February interview referred only to old film clips from past projects, not the alleged private footage now being circulated.
“The unauthorized recording and distribution of private and intimate content is a clear violation of Republic Act No. 9995 and other laws that protect individuals from digital abuse and violations of privacy.”
Villaflor also denounced the use of private content as a tool for public humiliation.
“As both a citizen and a public servant, I strongly condemn the weaponization of private content and all forms of digital violence. No person deserves to have their dignity violated in this way.”
The actor confirmed that the matter has already been referred to authorities for proper investigation.
“The matter has now been formally referred to the authorities for proper investigation. Out of respect for the legal process, I will refrain from making further comments while the investigation is ongoing.”
