The journey that began with The Rain in España is finally coming to its emotional conclusion as Viva One premieres Our Yesterday’s Escape, the sixth and final installment of Gwy Saludes’ immensely popular University Series, on September 5.
Based on the bestselling Wattpad novel, which forms part of a franchise that has amassed more than 720 million reads worldwide, the series serves as the culmination of the interconnected stories introduced in The Rain in España, Safe Skies Archer, Chasing in the Wild, Avenues of the Diamond, and Golden Scenery of Tomorrow.
Leading the final chapter are Jairus Aquino and Nicole Omillo, who portray Shan and Kierra—two individuals from contrasting worlds brought together by shared emotional wounds and a complicated journey toward healing.
Kierra is an architecture student who continues to believe in true love despite the painful experiences of her past. Shan, meanwhile, is a psychology student who has grown cynical about relationships, embracing a carefree, commitment-free lifestyle after witnessing love’s disappointments firsthand.
What begins as an unexpected encounter between the two gradually develops into a relationship marked by conflict, longing, and emotional growth.
