2016 must be a great year for the Kapamilya noontime show as it performs well in the ratings game lately. After suffering heavily to “Eat Bulaga!” last year, “It’s Showtime” is proving to be a formidable rival to the country’s longest running noontime variety show.
In the June 2 – 5 survey by AGB Nielsen on Mega Manila household, “It’s Showtime” registered good numbers specially on Saturday. “It’s Showtime” climbs to number of Saturday ratings board with 12.4% making them the highest rating daytime show from the Kapamilya network. “Eat Bulaga!” remains the Saturday leader in daytime programming.
While It’s Showtime shows upward trend, its Sunday counterpart “ASAP 20” has fall out of the top 10 ranking on Sunday. On the same survey period, ASAP was nowhere to find in the ratings board dominated by Kapuso programs. “Sunday Pinasaya”, ASAP’s rival continues to reign the Sunday daytime programming with 17.9%.
For weekend primetime programs, “Lip Sync Battle Philippines” and “Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho” continues to rule their respective programming blocks.
Meanwhile during weekdays “Eat Bulaga!” and “24 Oras” remain top raters on daytime and primetime programming.
