Shot in the United States, “A Mother’s Story” stars Pokwang who plays the role of a mother who decides to overstay her visa to become an OFW to support her family. As she takes a job as a housekeeper, she was separated from her family and dealt with the hardships of life in America.
“A Mother’s Story” revolves around the character of Medy, an illegal immigrant in the US working her way to send money to her children back in the Philippines. The film which was mostly in the US and jointly produced by ABS-CBN Global and The Filipino Channel (TFC).
Part of this movie’s cast are Xyriel Manabat, Rayver Cruz, Nonie Buencamino, Ana Capri, and Daria Ramirez, with the special participation of Beth Tamayo.
“A Mother’s Story” will be Star Cinema‘s initial offering for 2012.
