Kapamilya flagship noontime program It’s Showtime once again flexed its dominance in the ratings game after soaring to its highest viewership performance since 2024.

Based on the latest data from the Nielsen NUTAM People survey, the Vice Ganda-led noontime show achieved a new milestone on Thursday, May 7, posting an impressive 6.8 percent rating. The figure not only marked its highest rating for 2026 so far, but also its strongest showing in nearly two years.
The strong performance placed “It’s Showtime” at the No. 5 spot on the overall ratings chart for the day, significantly ahead of its longtime rival ‘Eat Bulaga!,’ which managed 3.0 percent and landed at No. 14.
The last time “It’s Showtime” reached its highest rating was on June 12, 2024, when it registered a combined 7.4 percent rating. Since then, the Kapamilya noontime had mostly earned within the 4 to 5 percent range, occasionally dipping to as low as 3 percent on some days.
The week of May 4 to 8, however, proved to be a major turnaround for the ABS-CBN-produced program as it consistently widened its lead over “Eat Bulaga!” in the highly competitive noontime battle.
“It’s Showtime” opened the week on Monday, May 4, with 5.4 percent, comfortably ahead of EB’s 3.2 percent. The momentum continued on Tuesday, May 5, as the show climbed further to 5.8 percent, increasing its advantage over EB, which posted 3.4 percent.
Although the program slightly dipped to 5.3 percent on Wednesday, May 6, it still maintained a solid lead against EB’s 3.3 percent.
Thursday, May 7 became the show’s biggest day after reaching its highest 6.8 percent rating, more than double than EB’s 3.0 percent ratings.
The momentum carried over to Friday, May 8, as “It’s Showtime” sustained its strong ratings with 6.1 percent, still far ahead of EB’s 2.8 percent or a gap of 3.3 percentage points.
The impressive ratings surge suggests renewed viewer interest in “It’s Showtime,” further strengthening its position in the ongoing noontime ratings war.
