After portraying the annoying “Bubble Gang” brat Angelina, Ogie Alcasid will take another hilarious, marked character he popularized in the same gag show, “Boy Pick Up,” to the big screen. “Boy Pick Up” the movie is a spin-off of the hilarious character of Ogie from the hit Friday night GMA7 gag show, “Bubble Gang.“
It is top billed by Ogie Alcasid and his leading lady in this film will be “Survivor Philippines” celebrity castaway Solenn Heussaff as “Neneng Bakit,” instead of Sam Pinto. But according to some reports, Sam Pinto will still be included in the cast. The singer-composer is apparently excited over the forthcoming project, which will also include his cast mates on “Bubble Gang.”
Since its inclusion to “Bubble Gang,” the “Boy Pick Up” segment has gained a cult following of sorts, spawning a t-shirt line under the Francis Magalona Clothing Company as well as a soundtrack in the works.
