Teresa Querido, School Principal, Kasiglahan Village Elementary School. Aside from storytelling, the Kidlat star also handed out backpacks to the students with the help of co-star Wendell Ramos (shown in the bottom photo).

Last March 14, TV5 and the whole team of top-rating show Kidlat visited Kasiglahan Elementary School in Montalban where 5,000 elementary school students were treated to a morning of fun activities. These included games, viewing of select Kidlat episodes and a special storytelling session courtesy of the show’s lead star Derek Ramsay.

The school received donations such as computers and library kits, while the students brought home 5,000 backpacks from the various foundations of the MVP Group of Companies (Tulong Kapatid). This outreach program, called “Kapatid, Ka-Hero,” is TV5’s way of giving back to children nationwide for their unwavering support and for making Kidlat the Superhero ng Bayan.
