Kapuso fans cry over the “Sunday All Stars'” newest format

“Sunday All Stars” has gone a lot of formatting on their show and yet they still failed to beat the reigning noontime musical variety show “ASAP 19.” And their newest reformat is ‘horrible’ and maybe their most stupid idea to date.

We gathered some of the opinions posted from NOA, posted on blogs and comments and some Facebook statuses.

Check out some of the comments below:

Pat Ozaraga: “Anyare sa Sunday All Stars bakit nagiging worst na sila? What were the people behind this show thinking?!? It was great that ‪#‎TomDen‬ are now part of SAS kasi para may male hosts na hindi puro babae lang. Pero di ko matanggap bakit kelangan alisin yung mga REAL and PRO singers? Like JayR he has been with GMA for how many years na, at rnb king siya legend na siya. Sayang talaga kaka disappoint  maganda na yung concept ng SAS eh kelangan lang ng additional segments. Andami nang magaling na artists na pinakawalan ng GMA jay perillo, krizza neri to name a few. Hiyang hiya naman ako dun sa model-actress nasali parin kahit waley. I know she does her best pero variety musical show kasi ang sas dapat yung mga totoong singers lang at performers ang dapat mapabilang sa show. Tapos sina french, yassi at maricris wala na rin ibalik na sa dati ang sas tapos si DRG ang director with team b”

Blureye blog: “Today’s episode turned out to be an impromptu show as the production doesn’t seem to have a real clear plans for the show, and just hyping TomDen, Aljur, and Alden, and celebrating birthdays. The Big Change is A Big Disappointment.”

James Jayoma: “Change for the worst? Let’s expect ratings to get worse in the coming weeks if the management continues to pursue the format and lack of bankable performers/artists.”

Trisha Caballero: “Yan na naman yung Sunday All Stars FB page, ano daw SUGGESTIONS natin sa NEW FORMAT nila!? WTF? Magtatanong sila tapos wala lang din kapupuntahan kapag nag-suggest tayo. Sa tagal kong nag-dadadakdak ng request ni hindi lang nila ginawa kahit minsan ang mga suggestions ko. What more pa kung lahat tayo mag-suggest. Asan ang Hustisya? Lol. ‪#‎SasBigFail‬”

Gising pag may time, SAS!”

Tondo Boy (blog comment): “I STRONGLY DISLIKE this “reformat” because the group battles are the heart and soul of Sunday All Stars for me. Despite good ratings from the start, the management did more harm to SAS than benefit, such as removing the winning group performing first in next episode’s opening number, Standout Awards, and the videos before group performances.
The “reformat” of SAS consists of duels among teams led by certain talents whose voting for them is their only was to win, more on special stages, while retaining the “Paborito” segment and becoming more like SOP (or Part y Pilipi nas at least). The first episode of the “reformat” suffered in the ratings, when it garnered only a Kantar Nationwide rating of 7.9%.
From my standpoint SAS was ruined over time by the management, despite improving group performances and failing to fix the quality of judging, to the mess that I consider not only a terrible reformat but also a sharp turn for SAS towards possible cancellation. I consider the show’s budget as a presumed reason for the terrible reformat of SAS. In conclusion, Sunday All Stars’ glory days are gone (?). for me.
#SASWorstChange< /p>
P.S. I’m not a fanboy of either network. This is just my opinion.”
