All this changed when his overseas Filipino worker father came home from the Middle East and started a barbecue business. Lad helped his father with the business. Their “Apork-able” barbecue in Marikina eventually grew, and soon they established “Ranchor Burgers” and launched a vendo machine that serves bulalo soup.
Along with this success, Lad became much closer to his dad, too.

Meanwhile, in “Mutya ng Masa” tomorrow (July 1), Doris Bigornia fulfills the wish of the family left behind by Rowden Go Pangcoga, the groom in a viral video of a wedding that took place less than 10 hours before his death. Rowden and his wife Liezl were scheduled to get married in July this year, but he was diagnosed with Stage 4 liver cancer in May. In early June, Rowden got his last wish to get married to Liezl. Now, Rowden’s family also wants to make the other patients in the Philippine General Hospital, where Rowden was confined, to be happy.
