Joshua Garcia and Jane Oineza are reuniting onscreen in ‘Love is Never Gone’, years after their respective stints inside the ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ house, bringing with them a renewed dynamic shaped by personal and professional growth.
The two actors, who have previously worked together in past projects, shared that their latest collaboration feels different due to the time that has passed and the experiences they have gained.
“This is not the first time nga na nagka-work kami after PBB. Pero, it’s been a while. First time in a long time,” Jane said.
“Ito ‘yung first na mahaba natin,” Joshua added.
Jane admitted that their earlier projects together were brief, making this reunion more meaningful.
“Yes! Kasi doon sa nakaraan, sa movie, bitin ako, eh! Medyo nabitin ako noon. Hahahaha! Naka-dalawang araw lang ako doon!” she said.
Joshua recalled one of their earlier collaborations: “Hindi, meron na pala tayo na nauna, ‘yung ‘Nasaan Ka Nang Kailangan Kita’.”
He then clarified how this project stands out: “After, after ng mahabang panahon, nagkaroon tayo ng sariling buhay, ito ulit ‘yung nagsama tayo ng mahaba.”
The actors both highlighted how their shared history contributed to a natural working relationship on set.
“Pero masaya ako na si Jane ay kasama ko ngayon. Kasi, nakakatuwa rin na mag-reunite ka sa mga dating ka-housemate mo. Sobrang comfortable namin sa isa’t isa. Bakit nga ba?” Joshua said.
Jane responded by pointing to their journey over the years: “Eh, kasi marami na tayong pinagdaanan! Parang ‘yung mga character natin dito sa serye.”
Joshua added, “Basta, ang masasabi ko lang, perfect din ‘yung character namin.”
Aside from her reunion with Joshua, Jane also shared her views on relationships during a content feature for Prime Video.
“Ako naniniwala ako na dapat marunong kayong mag-sorry pareho,” she said.
She emphasized the importance of accountability and growth in relationships, adding: “Ang mature relationship, you learn from each other.”
In ‘Love is Never Gone’, Jane plays Larajean Loyola, the ex-girlfriend of Teo, portrayed by Joshua. Her character is described as someone who betrayed him, adding tension and emotional depth to the storyline.
The series, shot in Morocco, blends romance, action, and drama, offering viewers a visually rich narrative set against international locations.
Joining them in the cast are Ivana Alawi, Jameson Blake, Fyang Smith, JM Ibarra, Dina Bonnevie, Ara Mina, and Epy Quizon, among others.
Directed by Manny Palo and Jojo Saguin under Dreamscape Entertainment, the series premieres on May 8 exclusively on Prime Video.
