It looks like Megan Young will stay as a Kapuso for good after her reign as the Miss World 2013.
Megan Young is now rumored to do a remake of a Mexicanobella acquired by GMA Network. There’s no formal announcement yet regarding the project but there are already some fans posting spoilers, well, according to their own reliable sources.
First rumored to be a launching series for Yassi Pressman, former Kapuso star turned freelance, “Monica Brava” is an Argentine telenovela, produced by Telefe in 1998 – 1999 starring Natalia Oreiro as Milagros ‘Mili’ Esposito-Di Carlo de Miranda and Facundo Arana as Ivo Di Carlo-Miranda Rapallo.
As far as I know, Megan is still in contract with Star Magic and another co-manager. If GMA Network will push this project for her, will this hurt other Kapuso stars especially those loyal ones waiting for that special limelight from the network?
[box]The story revolves around Milagros and Ivo, two people who fell in love with each other amidst the odds against them. It is a romantic comedy novela that also touches on issues of family, wealth, greed, deception, and most of all—love.
Milagros was brought up in an orphanage when her mother died giving birth to her. She has no idea who her father could be and spent all her years despising him for abandoning them.
She ends up becoming a house servant at the Di Carlo mansion when she turned 18, since she can no longer stay in the orphanage. In the mansion, she meets new friends, people who treat her as family; she also gains new foes who hate her for her tactless and feisty character. Most of all, she meets the love of her life, Ivo Di Carlo, the handsome heir of the Di Carlo fortune. Theirs was a love-hate relationship, decorated with funny antics they play on each other, and passion of their true love.
Ivo Di Carlo was a playboy, immature, and boastful guy. He had everything handed to him on a silver platter. But he lacks the love of a father as Federico Di Carlo makes him feel unwanted. Milagros, on the other hand, is religious, playful, and has a strong character. Their relationship survived many challenges, including issues that root from their parents’ deceptive acts, secret love affairs, greediness, and ambition. As a playboy, Ivo also had several girls that went between him and Milagros, the most significant are Andrea, Florencia, and Pilar. Milagros also had flings of her own, she forged relationships with Pablo and Sergio.
At some points, the two even thought they were siblings as Federico Di Carlo was revealed to be Milagros’ real father. However, it was also later revealed that Ivo was the son of Luisa Di Carlo’s lover, Nestor Miranda. In the end, Ivo and Milagros survived the tests of their relationship and wed in front of the people they love.[/box]
