REDWOOD SHORES, February 27, 2015 – Over 23 million votes and voters from 139 countries took part from December 23, 2014-January 6, 2015 in deciding the winners for the 10th Annual Soompi Awards 2014 which was aired on February 20 in the U.S. exclusively on Myx TV, the country’s only English-language multicultural Asian American entertainment network.
Myx TV is getting significant press on Korea’s major news websites like News Korea, CCTV News, Data News, IIgan Today and Acrofan following the airing of the awards show. Soompi, an English-language website promoting Korean pop culture, is one of the world’s largest internet international communities for K-pop. Founded in 1998 by Korean American web developer Susan Kang, it was acquired by Seoul-based IT venture company Enswers, Inc, and has launched Soompi France in 2011 and Soompi Spanish in 2012.
