A MONTH OF RETREADS and CLICHÉS. This month has seen the premieres of quite a number of tv dramas in both ABS-CBN and GMA. Most of these shows dig into the same overly familiar plots and storylines that have already been used countless times.
Plots like twins-separated-at-birth, friends-turned-into-rivals, will once again get reenacted, with new titles and faces to run the proceedings, and hopefully, new twists and gimmicks to spice all things up.
There are few surprises, but still can’t be counted as purely original, but are still worth paying attention to, like #JaDine’s first full-length primetime teleserye, On the Wings of Love, which is currently spreading some good vibes, and an irresistibly overwhelmingly amount of kilig-goodness, on primetime these days.
The show’s light, feel good vibe, is a welcome addition to the already heavy drama-saturated primetime block of both ABS-CBN and GMA-7.
