With the soaring popularity of Eat Bulaga’s star, actor and now a notable recording artist has made another milestone in his career. Who would have thought that after all the prevailing accolades this famous Kapuso actor is getting right now, Alden Richards album made it on the Billboard’s World Album Chart.
According to Billboard’s website, their chart is based on the current sales data through Nielsen Music. It is now official that the self-titled Alden Richards album belongs to number 10 spot of the World Album Weekly Top 10 chart.
Included on the Billboard’s list of top world album weekly chart are albums from K-Pop groups such as Seventeen and iKon. The number one slot goes to another K-Pop group GOT7 for their extended album called Mad.
Universal Records officially made the announcement on Eat Bulaga last September 25 of Alden Richards album success on Billboard’s which is now enjoying a Gold Record status. The Gold Record plaque of recognition was awarded to the “pambansang bae” by Kathleen Dy-Go the general manager of Universal Records.
The outpour of emotions were very evident on Alden Richards’ face, he was very emotional when he received his gold record award plaque. Alden expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his supporters and album producers.
The Alden Richards debut album with 7 songs was released via Universal Records last May 26, 2013 which is available in both digital format and CD copy. Alden Richards songs in the album are Akin Ka Na Lang, Can’t Find No Reason, Di Na Mababawi, Everytime I see You, Haplos, Naaalala Kita and Sa Aking Tabi. Album copy can be downloaded from iTunes and My Music Store and be bought on selected record stores. The album itself has a unique magazine style with Alden’s personal interest and short biography which AlDub fans will love.
