In a post last August, 2015 from Lionhartv.net, there we’re alot of talks in anticipation for a possible concert cooked for the now popular matinee idol, Alden Richards, the half of the phenomenal love team AlDub, partnered with the Youtube dubsmash queen, Maine Mendoza. With the said article, it was reported that an unnamed producer was already bid on staging the actor’s concert before the end of the year.
As 2015 is near to its closing, mixed opinions have been heard from critics about how critical if Alden’s concert is said to materialize. “Suicide” a strong word came from an unnamed critic when asked about in an opinion regarding the concert. The critic cited that Alden Richards is still not at par as Daniel Padilla, and followed by mentioning of a figure of one million peso-talent fee if ever the concert happens.
As for the reason of how the critic reacts, in looking back in Alden’s career who is already five (5) years in local show business, he has been visible to several GMA Network shows, such as “Alakdana”, “Ilustrado” and Regine Velasquez former show “Bet Ng Bayan”. Coming from the critics perception, Alden was not given enough exposure given the low popularity ratings and hype of the said shows.
According to the same source, it was a lucky turn-out of events for Alden that he was paired to Maine Mendoza, playing the popular character of “Yaya Dub” that skyrocketed the loveteam AlDub from “Eat Bulaga’s” segment “Kalyeserye”. In a strong note from the critic, he pointed out that Alden would not be famous without “Yaya Dub” due to the fact of his lack of appeal and dry in character.
