In a recent interview, Marlo Mortel proudly relates that at one point, he and Alden Richards tried their luck on GMA Network’s talent search Starstruck but did not make it to the finals.
But on a positive note, things turned out well for these two former Starstruck contenders that they now have better showbiz careers than some previous Starstruck winners.
Marlo Mortel reveals on Pilipino Star Ngayon, that he and Alden Richards were booted off on the last season of Starstruck and did not reach the finals. But in spite of that, young actor Marlo Mortel is proud of what he and Alden Richards have accomplished so far in the showbiz industry.
He proudly said- “At least napatunayan namin na hindi naman lahat ng winners sila lang ‘yung nag-succeed sa career nila, ‘di ba?” (Translation- “At least we have proven that not all winners [referring to Starstruck talent search winners] have successful careers, right?”)
Marlo Mortel is currently a talent of ABS-CBN under Starmagic and was known for his acting prowess in the popular drama soap “Be Careful with My Heart”.
With his successful career, Marlo Mortel will star together with Janella Salvador and Jerome Ponce on a Regal Films movie called “Haunted Mansion” which is an entry for 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival this December.
