Alden Richards together with Mrs. Annette Gozon-Abrogar visited the GMA Drama SubCom, a department which is responsible for GMA drama shows.
Though the reason of visitation is not yet revealed, it could be a guess that he is planning for a new GMA drama. However, Maine Mendoza, his current love team in “Eat Bulaga” may not be his leading lady.

Maine is one of the ‘KalyeSerye’s’ pride who has captured worldwide attention via the longest running noontime show, “Eat Bulaga”.
Main also joined Vic Sotto, Ai-Ai Delas Alas, and Alden Richards in the romcom “My Bebe Love” which showcased her acting skills and made her “Best Supporting Actress” in the 2015 MMFF Awards.

However, in an article in Philstar on January 30, some AlDub fans said that Maine is not yet ready for drama. They also commented that a romcom is better than a drama series.
If Alden will have a new drama soap, Maine, as artist of TAPE Inc. may not be his partner for she doesn’t have any contract from GMA Network. Atty. Felipe Gozon, chairman & CEO of GMA Network Inc. and Mr. Antonio Tuviera, TAPE Inc. president are still discussing this topic.
One great challenge is the AlDub’s chemistry if Alden will have a new leading lady, whoever will be his partner, surely, comparison is likely to happen between Maine Mendoza and his future love team.
But AlDub fans are still hoping that GMA Network and TAPE Inc. will have a good discussion, so Maine could joined Alden in the new drama soap. Lets all hope for the best.
