Jennie Gabriel, a known impersonator of Angel Locsin, now has the Golden Mic after defeating the defending champion Ronald Rosalita, a farmer from Davao del Sur, in ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan’ on “It’s Showtime.”
Jennie scored 93.8 percent from the judges with her rendition of Aegis’ ‘Halik’ while the defending champion received 93.6 percent for his performance of Tom Jones’ ‘I (Who Have Nothing).’
Before ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan,’ Jennie Escalada was one of the contenders of “Pinoy Pop Superstar Season 3” then became a stand up performer in a comedy bar and was featured in “Banana Split” in 2013.
