During her ‘Bongga sa Kusina’ cookbook launch, Asia’s Songbord Regine Velasquez-Alcasid was asked by PEP to react regarding her close friend Jaya Ramsey’s surprised transfer to ABS-CBN.
Regine, who’s performing with Jaya since “SOP,” answered that she’s happy for her friend’s decision. “She texted me about it, and I’m happy for her. That’s okay,” she said. “I’m happy that she’s there.”
She added, “You know, kumare ko ‘yon. Nakakatawa nga kasi she didn’t have to do it, na to let me know, but she did it anyway because she has so much respect for me,” she added. “I told her lang, I’m so happy for you. Blessing ‘yan, mare.”

Jaya’s last project with GMA Network was “Poor Senorita” topbilling Regine, which ended its run last Friday (July 15).
